Serve

A great way to meet more of the Redeemer community is to serve on a Sunday morning! Serving isn’t just about giving your time, or getting a cool t-shirt. Rather, we want our volunteers to be deeply connected with each other so that discipleship can happen.

What does it mean to serve?

There is no getting past the reality that we need volunteers to make Sundays happen. However, we want to challenge the perspective that a volunteer is just needed to serve once a month so that we can have fresh coffee for the coffee break and child care on the third floor.

Volunteers are an integral part of Redeemer, and we want you to see the impact you make when you serve. Beyond just filling a spot, you are taking an active part in being the hands and feet of Christ. But, it doesn’t stop there. The connections you make with other volunteers can spark a journey into a deeper, more vibrant walk with Christ as you push each other to love well. That is discipleship in community.

OUR TEAMS

Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry is for babies-5th grade. As a member of this team you would care for babies and teach toddlers to elementary age students. You’ll be able to share the love of Christ and teach them how to spread the word of God to everyone they meet.

Hospitality Teams

The Hospitality Teams include the Greet Team, the Communion Team, and the Connections Team. The Greet & Connections teams work to welcome everyone who walks in the door and help them dig deeper into community here. The Communion Team prepares the elements for communion each Sunday.

Tech Teams

The A/V Teams work hand-in-hand with the Worship Team to create an environment where you can encounter Jesus through worship. These teams include the Audio Setup Team who arrives at 6:15AM to setup the equipment for the band, the Audio/Visual Team who run sound and cameras, and the Audio Teardown Team who tears down all the audio equipment after 2nd service.

Coffee Team

The Coffee Team brews fresh coffee before each service and makes sure the coffee corner is well stocked with cups, lids, cream, sweeteners, etc. At the end of the second service, they take care of cleaning the urns and putting leftover supplies away.

Setup & Teardown

The Setup Team arrives at 7:30AM on Sunday mornings and is responsible for preparing the 2nd floor for the services. The Teardown Team begins around 12:30PM after the second service and is responsible for all teardown on the second floor as well as assisting with other duties as needed.

Worship Team

The Worship Team includes all of our vocalists and musicians serving in the band each Sunday morning. They practice every Thursday at 6PM, and arrive on Sundays at 7:15AM for soundcheck and rehearsal.

Note: There is an audition process for anyone interested in this team, click here for more information.
